AIA NEVADA DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARDS

AIA Nevada honors the achievements of exceptional AIA members and firms through this annual awards program. It is designed to recognize the significant contributions made to the profession of architecture, and to the larger community through the various levels of AIA membership.

Each year AIA Nevada honors the achievements of exceptional AIA members and firms through the AIA Nevada Distinguished Service Awards Program.   The awards are designed to recognize significant contributions made to the community and the profession through the various levels of AIA membership.  Any AIA member, group of members or committee in good standing may nominate candidates for these awards.  There is no entry fee for nominations or submittals in this awards program.

This year AIA Nevada will honor the recipients of these awards at the AIA Nevada Excellence in Design & Distinguished Service Awards Banquet and Presentation Ceremony, being held at the Historic Fifth Street School, 401 South Fourth Street, Las Vegas, NV on Saturday, September 19, 2009.


Please follow these directions to make a nomination for any of the 2009 AIA Nevada Distinguished Service Awards:
(1)  Please verify that each person or firm you nominate will accept the nomination and that they are willing to provide the required submission CD and materials. (Note:  All award Candidates are responsible for preparing their own submittals.  Assistance may be provided by the person making the nomination)

(2)  Complete ALL THREE pages of the Nomination Form completely.  Fax all pages of this Nomination Form to 702.895.4417 or mail to AIA Nevada, 401 S. Fourth Street, Ste. 175, Las Vegas, NV 89101.   All Nomination Forms must be received by AIA Las Vegas no later than Friday, July 10, 2009 at 5pm.

(3)  New this year is the requirement that all submissions be provided on a disc, not in a binder.  Submittal must be submitted as a pdf file on a disc in a template of standard size to fit  8.5” x 11” (vertical) materials.

(4)  All Submittal Discs (CDs) become the property of AIA Nevada and a part of the AIA Nevada archives in the UNLV Architecture Studies Library at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas. Do not send additional materials or original photos, awards or materials as these will not be returned.
